1st Place Volleyball Joins Team Wave in the First Professional Indoor Volleyball League!

It’s been a long time coming but USA Volleyball announced the first indoor professional league, Premier Volleyball League, in the US for women last week with several states already confirming teams. Among the first was the Florida Waves; and 1st Place Volleyball was more than happy to sign up as the official Branding sponsor.

Team Wave is complete, signing 14 active players with 7 secondary players, and practices this Sunday, January 29th, at the Orlando Sports Center. A tentative competition schedule has also been announced and is posted here: http://www.FloridaVolleyball.org/TeamFloridaWAVEInfoFP.htm

We will continue to follow the Premier Volleyball League and post updates on how Team Wave is doing.

1st Place Volleyball Partners with CoreCourseGPA.com

1st Place Volleyball knows that, all too often, student-athletes and their families overlook one of the most critical aspects of the recruiting process – NCAA initial eligibility academic standards.

In October, the NCAA approved even stricter standards for freshman initial eligibility, making the tracking process even more important for every high school student-athlete. NCAA eligibility requirements are based on NCAA approved core courses, which make up only a portion of your school’s class offerings. Therefore, the GPA on your report card is NOT the same as your core course GPA, and it is not uncommon for your core course GPA to be a full point lower. Without full knowledge of this difference, and the other NCAA academic requirements, you could greatly jeopardize your chance to receive a scholarship or a significant financial aid package.

For that reason, 1st Place Volleyball strongly recommends that you consider becoming a member of the CoreCourseGPA.com program. It’s easy to use, cost effective, and will ensure that you take care of the other half of the recruiting process – your academics.

Even if you meet minimum NCAA standards to play at a DI or DII school, it doesn’t mean your grades are good enough to get into the college of your choice.  CoreCourseGPA.com helps you set academic goals and ensure that you are on pace to meet the requirements of the schools you most desire to attend. That translates to better academic performance. Three out of four CoreCourseGPA.com members report the program has helped them focus more on their grades, and one out three have increased their GPA since becoming a member.

To become a CoreCourseGPA.com member, follow the steps below.
